While there are many pain relievers available for sale without a prescription, it is important to know the differences between them. The pain reliever in Advil® is ibuprofen, which is part of a class of drugs that also includes aspirin. Tylenol®, on the other hand, contains acetaminophen, a drug that works differently from ibuprofen.
The decongestants and antihistamines in Advil® Respiratory Products also work differently from other methods used to treat colds and allergies. Combined with ibuprofen, these medicines can be an effective way to reduce cold and allergy symptoms.
